Thank you 2013 ♥

2013 was an important year for Fashion for Elephants - it was its first. I decided to create a blog in February after feeling bored with the blog I already had, and I'm very glad I did it because I love FFE! The number of posts per month doubled compared to when I started, with October being the most filled month yet: 21 posts in the month I turned 21, unintentionally! Views and followers also increased, which makes me feel like you enjoy reading what I have to say! Thank you for being there ♥

Film Friday | New Year's Eve

Film Friday on a Sunday, I'm such a good blogger when I'm home! Today I bring you a film that is perfect for the last weekend of the year (whaaat, already??). Much like 'Love Actually' and 'Valentine's Day', this film strings together several stories and characters, allowing you to see huge names like Sarah Jessica Parker, Robert De Niro, Halle Berry, Ashton Kutcher, Jon Bon Jovi, and many more in just one film - how cool is that? 

It's a nice romantic comedy that will certainly put you in the mood for the big night - only two sleeps aways!

O Film Friday num Domingo, estar em casa dá cabo das minhas veias 'blogueiras', como dizem os brasileiros. Hoje trago-vos um filme que é perfeito para o último fim-de-semana do ano (sou a única chocada com isto?!). Parecido com 'O Amor Acontece' e 'Dia dos Namorados', este filme junta muitas histórias e personagens, o que nos permite ver grandes nomes como Sarah Jessica Parker, Robert De Niro, Halle Berry, Ashton Kutcher, Jon Bon Jovi e muitos mais num só filme! 

'Ano Novo, Vida Nova!' é uma comédia romântica que vos vais pôr mais entusiasmados e esperançosos para a grande noite que se aproxima!

I'm taking some time to enjoy my family and home in general, but the blog will come back in force in the New Year!

A day late, but here it is - my week in pictures! After spending most of it living by myself in Manchester, I am now safe and sound at home, in Portugal. The journey took about 17 hours - train, plane, train, train, car -but I've now arrived and can be cosy by the fire.

Um dia atrasado, mas aqui está - a minha semana em fotografias. A maioria do tempo foi passado em Manchester mas desde Sábado à noite que estou sã e salva em casa. Custou a cá chegar: três comboios, um avião, uma viagem de carro e um total de 17 horas. Mas vá, o que interessa é que já cheguei e o Natal começa já amanhã - preparados?

Film Friday | The Christmas Edition II

Final weekend before Christmas. The festive feeling should be oozing from you by now, but fear not if hasn't kicked in - I saved my two favourite festive films for last and they're great for emergency situations.

Arthur Christmas

A cute animation film, perfect to watch with family, friends and hot chocolate - especially if you have children in the family!

Love Actually

For me, this is the King of Christmas films. I'm not sure if we may call it a classic (yet!), but it's just a great modern take on Christmas that gets me festive every time I watch it.

E eis que chega o último fim-de-semana antes do Natal. Já deviam estar no espírito natalício por esta altura, mas não se preocupem se esse não for o caso - eu trago-vos dois filmes que são óptimos para emergências como estas.

Um filme super fofo, ideal para ver com toda a família - e com chocolate quente à mão!

O Amor Acontece

Na minha opinião, este é o rei dos filmes de Natal. Não sei se merecerá o título de clássico (para já!), mas é uma adaptação natalícia moderna que vale muito a pena ver, e que me põe no espírito sempre que o vejo.

Bits of my week - 4 out of the 6 pictures are Christmas related so you can tell I'm getting into the festive spirit! My Christmas shopping is done and I only have a week left in Manchester until I go home - excited is an understatement.
