It has been and gone, mine and Manchester's first time at Vogue Fashion's Night Out. Only one word can describe it - amazing!
My night was slightly different than most as I was technicaly working for the magazine I intern at, La Vida. But it didn't feel like work at all, and I can only wish I get a job like that!
We started the evening at the Skin Health Spa, where we were treated like royals. The girls are SO lovely, and I would happily spend my days being pampered by them if I had a few more zeros in my bank account. As part of FNO, they were giving free makeovers, manicures, and a taste of Jan Marini peels. I didn't get to try the latter, unfortunately, but my colleagues were raving about the results. However, I did feel extremely lucky to have been treated to a makeover by a YoungBlood Mineral make-up professional! Besides getting loads of extremelly helpful advice, I got to try the Young Blood products and they are amazing. Young Blood was created by Pauline Youngblood, a medical aesthetician who worked with patients who had severely traumatized skin from cosmetic surgeries or skin conditions. Not being happy with the available options for her patients, she decided to create a range of make-up that would respect the skin and let it breathe. Truth is, I usually don't wear a lot of make-up exactly because of this - I hate that feeling of my skin having too much on! After having my make-up done with Young Blood products, I felt like I had no make-up whatsoever and the result looked amazing - what do you think?

Second stop was Selfridges. There were so many freebies that I didn't even know where to start! A Cosmopolitan was definitely a high priority (yes, I paused my diet!), as well as popcorn served from the cutest little cart. I also got scouted by a modelling agency - whaaaaat? Maybe they had a bit too much free champagne...
Next stop - my high street favourites, H&M and Topshop! H&M did a great job, having free hair makeovers, photographers, and the beautiful and the presence super nice Pixie Gelddof! Topshop, on the other hand, was a bit of a dissapointment but I may have been there at the wrong time as they had a talk later with a 200+ audience.

Now on to the most exciting part of the evening - Harvey Nichols. The department store was absolutely packed with all kinds of people with different styles. Personally, I found it great to see such a big diversity in a place where status and money always seem to be a priority. They had talks from amazing people of the fashion industry, including the inspirational Vogue Editor Alexandra Shulman (her Q&A session was so interesting that I'll do a post exclusively dedicated to it!). The most fantastic thing was that I got to meet Sophia Webster, an amazing shoe designer. I came across her work because of La Vida, but I soon fell in love with her AMAZING designs. Her shoes have a very girly and funky vibe, but they are perfect to add personality and joie de vivre to outfits, especially if you're in your 20's (not wanting to discriminate anyone!) and don't want your heels to be too classic - she describes her inspiration as a 'girl who likes to have fun'.

And that was it. I had an incredible time, but I wish I would have been to more places - I missed the sexy Jameela Jamil DJing at Selfidges, as well as the special FNO cupcake. There were so much exciting things to do that I only hope I'll be able to go again next year! If you went, hope you had as much fun as I did or more. If not, please do next year!
